During this session Jim will show DBAs who are new to Azure some tips and best practices to help them properly set up their SQL Azure database.
Peter Shore- The Data Professional's Junk Drawer- 9:45-10:45 AM, Training 4
Peter will dive into some useful tools in the "largest junk drawer created," the Internet. Tools he will discuss include Robocopy, connection managers and portable apps. Attendees will learn how they can help SQL Server professionals and where they can access them so that they can increase the efficiency of their environments.
Jeremy Frye- Data Hoarding (Buried Alive): Better Data Modeling and Management When Using Power BI- 1:30-2:30 PM, Training 4
Jeremy will dive into some potential data management challenges BI administrators might see including overlapping data, inconsistent naming conventions, undocumented transformations, mismatch data types and varying granularity. He'll focus on the importance of having a solid data model and managing data governance utilizing Power BI.
