Chairman & CEO
Buddy Flerl is a veteran technology executive and investor, currently serving on the boards of RDX and IQinVision. As a hands-on leader and investor, he drives the daily customer and results-oriented focus with RDX's leadership team, while ensuring the company leverages requisite capital and management resources.
Buddy is a founder of 21Ventures, a $250M private equity fund focused on software, renewable energy and security technologies. He has served as the CEO of Agent Video Intelligence and Vice President of Sales for QRS Corporation. Buddy's career began with a distinguished sales tenure at IBM, where he received recognition on the Gerstner Report at the age of twenty three.
Buddy holds an AB degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a minor in German. In addition to numerous board obligations, he serves as a Eucharistic minister at the Allegheny County Jail. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife and three children.
Chief Revenue Officer
Rob Brown brings over 20 years of sales management, marketing and leadership experience to RDX. Rob joined RDX in 2002 as a sales representative and was responsible for helping build global demand for RDX's remote DBA services.
Rob's marketing responsibilities include driving RDX's corporate branding, market positioning and marketing campaigns. In addition, Rob leads RDX's sales organization where he is responsible for developing overall sales strategies and ensuring the sales team communicates RDX’s unique value proposition to its customers. As a member of the senior management team, Rob also plays a pivotal role in the company's daily business operations where he is charged with driving the company's overall growth and profitability.
Rob attended California University of Pennsylvania and began his career at ISS selling remote Oracle Application and database outsourcing. Rob lives in the Pittsburgh area with his wife and three children. He is an avid sports fan and coaches youth soccer and t-ball.
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, David is responsible for business development strategies that identify, engage, nurture, and acquire new clients through demand management, lead generation and sales enablement activities. Additionally, David oversees RDX’s Customer Success team responsible for building long term relationships- ensuring clients have a positive experience and their goals are being reached.
David holds a degree from ORU in Tulsa, OK and brings over 20 years of building Sales, Lead Generation, Demand Management, Marketing, and Account Management programs for best-in-class service organizations such as US Cellular and AlliedBarton Security Services. David lives with his wife and four boys in Peters Township, PA.
Vice President, Technology
Chris is a fifteen-year company veteran responsible for developing global strategies for RDX's key service delivery applications and technology infrastructure. Chris ensures that RDX maintains a constant focus on research and evaluation efforts involving leading edge support technologies and delivery processes.
His career prior to RDX includes reporting to C-Level Executives at Alcoa Corporation and Bank of New York Mellon, where he directed IT organizations responsible for large-scale database, server and operating system architectures deployed throughout key mission critical, 24x7 enterprise application environments.
Chris has authored over 200 articles for various industry periodicals and is the author of the "OCP Instructor's Guide for Oracle DBA Certification". Chris's speaking career includes 18 presentations to 14 international, national and local users groups. He is an Oracle ACE, Oracle Senior Level instructor and received Oracle's OAEC Instructor Award for Quality for teaching the DBA track.
Director of Client Services
As Director of Client Services, Bridget is responsible for RDX's customer experience, success and retention. She works closely with the management and marketing teams to develop and implement organizational and customer-first strategies as well as oversees the customer success team. Prior to accepting her promotion to Director of Client Services, Bridget served 5 years as RDX's Director of Operations.
Bridget brings 18+ years of sales and operations experience and is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining the RDX team, Bridget worked for an international Medical Device company as one of their top sales consultants.
Director, Delivery Operations
Julie is RDX’s Director of Delivery Operations. In this role, Julie leads RDX’s Internal Infrastructure Support, IT Security, Audit and Compliance and Technical Training teams. Additionally, Julie manages RDX’s Customer Onboarding Team which is responsible for ensuring all new customers are quickly and efficiently integrated into RDX’s support architecture.
Julie has 20 years of customer service experience working for Federated Investors and US Bank. She held several positions at US Bank including Project Manager, Call Center Tools Infrastructure Manager and Assistant Vice President of Production Support Services. Julie graduated from Marietta College with a degree in Political Science, Government and History. She currently resides in Pittsburgh’s North Hills with her husband Larry and their dog Alex.
Director, Service Delivery
Konstantin, as RDX's Director of Service Delivery, plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing RDX's service delivery strategies. He's also in charge of RDX's customer-facing, database, operating system and enterprise application product support teams.
Kon holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He has 15 years of experience with SQL Server and has held both technical and management positions at RDX during his tenure. Kon is a frequent presenter at SQL Server local and national users groups and was selected to speak at the SQL PASS Summit in 2015 and 2016. Prior to joining RDX in 2010, Kon was as Sr. SQL Server DBA for Pittsburgh Public Schools.
Director of Marketing
As Director of Marketing, Kelsic is responsible for the vision and deployment of strategic projects relating to RDX's marketing, sales and customer experience efforts, including heading up RDX's new customer advocacy program, The RDX Factor. In this role, Kelsic works closely with cross-departmental leadership to design and deploy strategies that position and promote RDX as a leading provider of cloud and database managed services with customer-focus. Recent projects include RDX GO - RDX's new mobile app and a complete redesign of RDX.com.
Kelsic has been at RDX for over 10 years, working her way up from Marketing Associate to her current position as Marketing Director by bringing passion, hard work and out of the box thinking to RDX. Since taking on her first managerial role at RDX in 2011, she has helped grow customer MRR by ~750%, with 81% of all customer MRR won in 2017 generated by her team's Marketing efforts.
Kelsic graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Communication, Arts and Sciences with a focus on market research and psychology. When she's not in the zone on a project, she can often be found laughing way too loudly or sharing crazy ideas with her coworkers - intent on promoting a work/life balance and making RDX a fun and empowering place to work. She lives with her husband, two kids and two dogs in Pittsburgh, PA and is always looking for a great babysitter if you know of anyone :) .
